Ikea Doll House Furniture Refresh
Hi friends hope you all had an amazing summer. You know how there is a slight change in your life and you believe that you will have all of this extra time to get things done, only to end up allocating that time to other things? That is where I am at. I had some ambitious plans to work towards minimalism… well not full minimalism just more empty surfaces and spaces. Less stuff, less to clean and maintain especially with kids. I have this same exact bookshelf that my doll has but its full of bins with toys that usually spill over onto the floor and then there are the toys that don’t fit in there. I mean who wants to look at an empty bookshelf anyways, but a few chachkies wont hurt. The curated living room with all the great things that they sell at HomeGoods. Not too much stuff, just enough for a beautiful aesthetic. A calm relaxing place to just lay down and relax while…. the kids come in and ask for their toys and touch all of the breakable stuff. LOL. Ok so my HomeGoods dream is a bit far fetched, but we can reduce the toys, especially the ones that haven’t been used in a while or even rotate the toys that are there. I’m thinking this is a better idea.
Now lets talk about what I did to this beautiful doll furniture. The couch which generally comes with a cover, has the cover removed and cute vinyl flowers. I made a pillow with the matching flowers and spray painted the side table from its normal green color, to a beautiful shimmery gold. This is an awesome gift set, with the holidays right around the corner. Check out the shop tab to view on my Etsy store.

Thanks for hanging with me! Have a great day.
Darley
